The white dress is for an ‘akad’ ceremony, which is an important Islamic ceremony normally conducted by the father of the bride. The pink and lavender dress is for reception that was held at my parent’s home and also at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The lavender ‘kebaya songket’ dress is a rare colour as traditional ’songket’ normally comes in bright or rich colour. We were so happy to find the songket in this particular colour! ”
